Shipyard at Foss Landing in HO

I recieved the new kit yesterday and went through the box today including a perusal of the directions. I like that it has a stencil instead of a rub off. I’ll probably take a couple of more days for rereading the directions.

The landscaping will be a new challenge for me because of the water, sculptamold, and elevations In a diorama.

Looking forward to your build Curt! That’s an old school version of the Shipyard, lots of fun there.

Curt, looks like another great build for you. I’m looking forward to weeing your progress.

That’s a bit harsh, you will make it all soggy.

so much for proof reading :slightly_smiling_face:

Alright Curt! How exciting starting this wonderful kit. I’ll be on the sidelines checking in frequently brother! So much character in this one, can’t wait…

Opening a kit is one of my favorite parts of the whole build. I hope you enjoyed it thoroughly and took it all in. Will be checking in on your progress, together with everyone else!

Have fun Curt, and can’t wait to see what you do with it.

Have fun Curt. This was one amazing build. So much detail and just a really great kit overall.

Afternoon All,

Thank you for following along and your kind words Brett, tommich, Minion, Ken, swissrail, Ray, and Joel.

It’s been 24 days since my last post and little to show for it. During this period home has become very stressful with grandson (19 yo) moving in. We are his last stop before homelessness. On top of that I have just gotten over a 9 day illness but still have energy issues.

Anyhoo, this is what I have accomplished so far. I have a heck of a time trimming the smaller windows. Although not shown, the trim will be gray.

Curt, take the time and enjoy your Grandson - they still like grandparents at that age. Good progress with everything else that’s on your plate.

No rush, Curt. I always have to tell myself that it’s a hobby. If you don’t have time, you’re not in the mood, etc., it will still be there when you’re ready to jump back in. And sometimes, just letting that unfinished wall, scene, roof tempt you for a bit helps to revive the spark once your time frees up. Glad to hear you are feeling a little better and good on you for helping out your grandson. Enjoy your time with him.

Nice look on those walls Curt, lots of variation in tones.

Walls came out great! They will be the perfect backdrop for your Shipyard story.

Curt, color and texture of the walls turned out great! I like the color variation.
