#307 Lineside Storage Shed (O Scale): JenS

I really appreciate your invaluable comments, Tom, Ken, and Travis. Thank you sincerely.
Yesterday afternoon, by coincidence, sunlight hit my workspace, allowing me to capture a few more photographs using natural light. I could not bear to withhold them from you. I am quite pleased with how the colors turned out here.

This is really looking good. Love the natural light with the shadows.

Very nice! Shaping up to be a real top shelf build.

Those close ups really show the character of the wood. Looking really nice!

This is starting to look really nice. Walls with the battens looking great in the sunlight.

Fantastic start and progress on this kit. Your wood weathering and coloring is fantastic. Thank you for sharing this with us!

Your woodwork is outstanding.

Jim, Ken, Tom, Dwaine46, Brett, Kevin, thank you for your comments.
As I have already announced, the shed will be equipped with a platform to load stored equipment from the shed onto the wagons. I constructed the deck using wooden strips and chalk in almost the same colors as the shed, then wrapped it in cling film. After cutting out the old Styrodur floor on the layout, I prepared a mixture of paper fibers, diluted wood glue, and plaster to model the platform into the terrain.

Some more posts are needed, but I think this will work, without any loss of my LPs.

Looks good JenS. Having some varying topography always looks good. It creates some nice modeling and detailing opportunities and serves up some uniqueness to your work.

Looks great Jen. Love how it’s built into the rocks. Very visually interesting.

Love the addition of the topography change and the dock!

This is looking real good Jens.

Once again, my heartfelt thanks to Ken, Travis, Brett, and Jim for commenting on my build.

Over the past several days, I have devoted myself primarily to crafting the terrain. Once the modeling paste had fully cured, I applied a coat of raw umbra acrylic paint and gently dusted the surface with finely sifted soil. To secure the ground material, I poured on a diluted wood glue. While the entire base dried, I assembled the fence according to the manual. I remain undecided whether to introduce a touch of color to the backdrop by painting a few slats in either red or white—though, if I do, they will surely be weathered with peeled paint.

I believe the most enjoyable phase of the work is now about to commence: painting all the castings.

Looks great JenS. The doors and windows will really finish it off. Love the scenic work behind the fence. The land form around the structure really looks good.

A very believable job of that deck protruding from the soil. Your background is phenomenal. Can’t wait to see more. Great job.

Nice work on the platform. The building looks great on it. Looking forward to see the detail work.

The wet palette is prepared, and the colors are aside. I shall begin with the wooden elements such as crates, barrels, and shelves.

Oops, I forgot to thank you guys for following and commenting on my build.

Scenery looks better each time you post! Look forward to seeing the castings all painted up. One of my favorite parts of the hobby as well.

Jen that looks very good sitting on the ledge. It makes a much more interesting scene.
