Oh my goodness, sorry Joel! I didn’t see your comment and just came across it after Nick posted today. Thanks so much and really nice hearing from you my friend. I’ll be attending the 2026 Narrow Gauge Convention in Minnesota and fully expect you to be there!
Hi Ken, I am glad to hear that you have started on the machine shop. I do like it but couldn’t make the front wall work for me so put it to one side. I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with and maybe I will dig it out again with the view to making a start on it .
So when you have got the machine shop done and dusted will you tackle the big one ? Twin Mills . I have it out at the moment seeing how far I got with it , and am pleasantly surprised that I have built more than I remembered. It is still pretty daunting.
Nick
Yeah Nick, my version of that stone wall of the Machine Shop is a significant deviation but looks pretty cool thus far. Regarding the Twin Mills build, I have the Machine Shop, The Freight House, and Foss Landing to go before I run up against that beast! I do look forward to it though, probably take me a couple years to build! lol.
Nick I look forward to seeing what you do with this kit. I think this will be my next one.
Curt, I hope you are not expecting to see too much in the short term as I work a lot slower than Ken. I will post some pictures when I have something worth looking at .
Nick
Ken, I just read where your attending the Narrow Gauge convention in Minnesota. That’s great, I look forward to meeting you if you can spare a few minutes.
Hey Ray,
Well of course, plan to spend more than a few minutes knocking elbows with the SWSM clan!
