Nice weathering on those walls. It looks like KK is starting to have an impact on you. Looking forward to what you have in store for this build.

Great start. Wonderful weathering, gotta make that yellow look old and crusty!

Love the colouring of the shelves, great little detail.

Kevin, any more progress on this build?

jim,

i have made a little progress, but a week ago or so i set it aside in favor af building a book nook i bought for my wife(that she didn’t want to build).

I’m sure your wife will like the book nook. We’ll patiently wait for you next update here.

for all intents and purposes, this one is finished, with the exception of the ridge cap. i deviated from the instructions in that i did not make the roof removable and i didn’t light it. it’s not gonna be a prominent structure and i don’t get visitors so i didn’t feel it mecessary. once i finish the ridge cap (and gas pump) i will take pics and post them in this thread.

after saying all that, i am now announcing that i am going to commence on my final swsm structure kit, the o scale sawmill. (no room for anymore structures) in preparation of beginning on this massive undertaking, i purchased a new 24” X 36” glass worktop and painted the desktop (workbench) flat black under the glass.

while i anxiously look forward to building the mill itself, i am absolutely dreading building the machinery, mostly due to my shaky right hand and my total and complete aversion to working with epoxy. i effin hate it!

Kevin, try slow dry cyanoacrylate from MIG Ammo. I buy mine on Amazon. Not as good as epoxy but you have made many posts over the years about your dislike for epoxy. This is a viable alternative.

Though it would have been nice to see this build in progress, I’m still excited to see the pictures of the finished product.
I’m excited to read that you will be starting the sawmill build. I’ll definitely be following that awesome project. Look at each piece of machinery as a kit in itself, it won’t be intimidating. In the end, I think you will look at the sawmill as your most gratifying build. Most of all, have fun with it.

thanks i just ordered some.
