Thanks everybody for your comments. I need to mention though that I am building this kit that will be opposite hand of what the kit is supposed to be so when it sits on my railroad the ore chutes, the interior of the hoist house will be facing the outside of the layout.

Beautiful work Stephen. A superb job on the technical aspects as well, any straying here would be very evident.

This would have been a difficult build if there were not the jigs that Bret provided. Even with them, it wasn’t that easy.

Steve, I love to see the purlins instead of a solid sub roof. I am considering doing that with my truck repair. my only worry is that the roof might not be strong enough to be removeable. Great work on the mine Randy

Steve I agree whole heartedly with Bryan

The paint color is Delta Barn Red that I purchased at Lobby Lobby. I thought that after the initial wall treatment it need the darker paint at the top so I dry brushed some of this paint along the top of the walls. And thanks everybody for you comments

It looks fantastic! Thanks, Reds can be so tricky. So many versions and shades. So many of them end up with a magenta or purple tint that I really don’t like.

Siding looks great Steve, both the base colour and the peel, nice definition under the eaves overhang.
The effects on the boiler came out really nice, dusty and ashy, not rusted out. Nice work on the rest of the details so far.

Attached are pictures of the finished Tipple Structure. I have been working on the installation of LED’s for lighting. In the first picture, you are looking at stainless steel tubing for conduit for the wiring to the LED’s. I used Jax stainless steel solutions to color the tubing. It is a two part process.
I couldn’t resist a few broken siding boards. I also will do something to the corrugated roofing.

There are a couple of things that I want to share with you on this build.
This photo shows the bottom of the diorama with all the electrical connections. I used a copper conductive tape as bus wires and then soldered the LED wires to it. All the wires are placed in stainless steel tubing. I will then connect a power source to the copper tape making sure the LED’s are powered with 3 volts.
The other thing I found these bottles online and they are great for adding ground covers to the diorama in small areas so that you have time to work in the castings.
Thanks for all the comments. It looks like you all have problems sleeping as I noticed the time when many of you posted your comments.
