Dan’s Sawmill Project

That’s a very nice find! If I got that lucky I would build probably build two of the things

Great assistant. Pretty kitty.

He disapproves of the project. He will try to halt construction anyway he can

I got some project time today. I started with coffee at 4:30 this morning. I got a resin casting almost done but my eyes are too tired to finish. I’m going to add a little more color and probably one final wash of ink. I didn’t like how the deck was lining up directly over the hill so I cut that section and moved it forward about an inch. Directly in between where the piles go. It also created space for a a retaining wall like I saw on here. Tomorrow I will finish that casting and probably go after the 3D wood barrels that are just simply amazing. I hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

Dan, SW castings are the best there are, and you did this one proud! Nice coloring. The retaining wall is a nice feature.

Thank you kindly. I appreciate that

Added some color and just about finished a second one

Excellent job on those Dan. Everything looks natural, nothing sticks out. Well… except the kitty. What’s his name?

Thanks Brett! Had fun with these! That’s Gold Nugget AKA Mr. Golds

Again nice work on the shelves. the metal parts look like real metal.

Dan very nice, colors are subtle, nothing that draws your eye to one part, perfect.

Very nice job on the details.

Thank you Ray

Thank you Curt!

Love when a casting starts to come to life. Very rewarding feeling. These look great Dan.

Thank you Travis. These were a ton of fun

So after milling it around I decided to do the Christmas Green on my machinery. It just feels tight. I’m waiting until installation time to weather them. The larger miter gears are my favorite detail in the kit.

Great stuff. Love those big shelves. Nicely done!
