Here we go with another incredible and outstanding kit from Brett.
The mind boggles at the skills involved at all levels in bringing this into production.
I’m just thrilled to have it in my hands and be able to work with such an incredible kit.
Starting off with the unboxing…
Beautifully packaged as always.
Everything well protected.
No supports to remove, everything ready to go, right out of the box.
Laying things out to get a feel for the beauty.
Laid up on the sticks and ready to prime.
Prime colours on and left overnight to cure.
The first rough base colours put on, time to eat and come back for more tomorrow.
Next steps tomorrow with a little more progress…

I painted the wooden portions today and did some dry brushing of some areas before I get to assembly tomorrow.

This really turned out great, Karl. One question: I noticed the half track (not the treads) were painted green and then were changed to more of a rusted grey. Did you not like the green effect on the tracks? Just wondering as I will build my Linn shortly so curious on your thoughts. Thanks again and super modeling.

Grant, the track/wheel bodies were initaly done green, as if painted from the factory to match the cab.
I then backed this off with tarnished steel(not grey) on the raised areas to show that the cogs and wheels were heavily used and the green paint had worn/chipped off due to heavy use in the woods and branches, etc hitting the track ‘drive’ and destroying the paint work as I think this area would get alot of abuse.
Once it gets put to a diorama and/or scene I will likely add mud and debris to the inner track area to match the terrain and thus blend it into its surroundings and tone down the effect.
As I don’t know where that will be or look like, yet, I left it at the basic worn and abused stage, ready to be weathered further when it finds a home.
I hope this explains my thoughts and why I stopped before finishing completely.
