These beauties were delivered a couple of weeks ago so it’s past time I started working on them.
O Scale Farmall “C”
O Scale Ford “TT” truck
HO Scale Ford "TT truck
HO Scale John Deere “D”
Beautifully packaged and presentation from Brett as usual.
Fast shipping and extremely well protected.
O Scale Farmall “C”
Primed rattle can rustoleum flat black.
Base coat of craft ‘spiced berry’
Top coat will be craft ‘real red’.
Look at the quality of those prints straight out of the packet, no supports, no clean up…
freaking awesome…
Right Side.
I got the top coat of craft "real red completed on the main parts. Also the reaper "tarnished steel.
Then completed the first step of aging by carefully chipping off the red in specific areas with a damp sharpened tooth pick.
Left side.
I want this to be a working machine with just some light wear and tear, not a rusty ‘junker’.
Next will be to repeat the chipping process on the wheels to match the body.
After that glue it all together and leave it to dry, probably over night.
Final steps tomorrow will be chalk and some washes to simulate dirt/oil/grease etc on the mechanical areas.

You’re doing a fantastic job on this. I don’t know how you are able to apply craft paints without leaving brush strokes but you obviously are highly skilled. Can’t wait to see the final results.

Fantastic, work on a super detailed little gem. Color and depth is perfect. The red really looks old with that “feel” so hard to capture.

It was basic craft AppleBarrel “Bright Red”.
The aging/weathering layers on top of that really gave it the authentic look.
