Nice work Ray. Glad the extra trusses worked out. It would be a shame to hide all the nice interior detail work.
Thanks Tom, and thanks for getting me thinking along those lines. The trusses add quite a lot of stiffness at least in one axis. I did finish the larger roof section with the wing, both fit really well, not excellent, Im satisfied. I think one more post will finish this thread up.

I think I’m at a point where I’m calling this done. I’m happy with the roof, so thanks for all of the encouragement and advice. I am taking this to the Narrow Gauge convention in Bloomington in a few weeks and would look forward to some honest feedback from any of you who are there. I’m not sensitive, not emotionally tied to my work so constructive criticism is very welcome. It will also be nice to meet those who will be attending.
I’ve got some big ideas, no plans, on building an On30 modular layout. The sawmill will be the centerpiece. I want to add a logging scene if I can understand how Spar trees were rigged and connected/moved by a Dolbeer engine - I have books but maybe am not smart enough to sort it out. This layout conceivably have a logging barge that could move finshed product (so add a river), and a facility (add Crawford and Ernst). Again, a lot of ideas but no plan.
